Welcome to the second season of Spread The Light.

With more than 20 "Harry Potter" fansites and youtubers from all around the world united in the effort to spread the light of charities, now we are fundraising for the Anne Rowling Clinic.

Founded in Jo’s late mothers’ name, it provides out care for patients with multiple sclerosis and other Neurodegenerative diseases as well as cutting edge research and clinical trials.

The book sculpture used in our layout was made by Malena Valcárcel.

She lives in Alicante - Spain, next to the beautiful and warm Mediterranean Sea. She was born in Tenerife – Canary Islands where she grew up without losing sight of the sea. Ti avevamo detto che qualcosa di magico sarebbe arrivato ed ecco qui! Siamo emozionati di annunciarti di Spread The Light; una campagna di raccolta fondi a sostegno di LUMOS + un concorso a premi! Spread The Light è stato fondato da Always J.K. Rowling & Potterish e vi hanno collaborato un totale di 19 fan site di Harry Potter sparsi in tutto il mondo! Cose eccitanti accadono quando unisci la comunità potteriana mondiale. Oggi ti stiamo dando la possibilità di vincere incredibili premi come un cofanetto di libri di Harry Potter autografato da Daniel Radcliffe (vinto dallo staff di Spread The Light in occasione dell’ultima campagna invernale di LUMOS), fantastiche illustrazioni originali a cura degli illustratori Thomas Taylor & Olly Moss, 2 romanzi autografati di Cassandra Clare (Shadow Hunters) e tanto altro!

Spread The Light è una campagna di raccolta fondi per l’associazione benefica per bambini fondata da J.K. Rowling, LUMOS. LUMOS punta a trasformare la vita di bambini che risiedono in orfanotrofi, dando loro il diritto fondamentale di vivere in una casa calda e accogliente e con genitori che vogliano loro bene.

Il dato scioccante è che l’80% degli 8 milioni di bambini negli orfanotrofi non sono, di fatto, orfani. Uno studio recente ha scoperto che i bambini che crescono in instituti sono più soggetti, una volta cresciuti, a cadere vittima di crimini e abusi e a valutare il suicidio e la prostituzione.
