Welcome to the second season of Spread The Light.
With more than 20 "Harry Potter" fansites and youtubers from all around the world united in the effort to spread the light of charities, now we are fundraising for the Anne Rowling Clinic.
Founded in Jo’s late mothers’ name, it provides out care for patients with multiple sclerosis and other Neurodegenerative diseases as well as cutting edge research and clinical trials.

The book sculpture used in our layout was made by Malena Valcárcel.
She lives in Alicante - Spain, next to the beautiful and warm Mediterranean Sea. She was born in Tenerife – Canary Islands where she grew up without losing sight of the sea. Spread The Light é organizada e operada por 19 fã-sites de Harry Potter de todo o mundo (para a lista completa, veja abaixo). O objetivo dessa campanha é ajudar a arrecadar fundos e aumentar a conscientização sobre o importante trabalho que a instituição de caridade infantil de J.K. Rowling, Lumos, faz.
O objetivo da Lumos é transformar a vida de crianças que vivem em orfanatos, devolvendo a elas os seus direitos fundamentais, como ter o conforto e a paz de um lar e pais que as amem. Uma chocante taxa de 90% das 8 milhões de crianças que vivem em orfanatos não são nem mesmo órfãs! Um estudo recente descobriu que crianças que crescem em instituições são 10 vezes mais propensas a se envolverem com prostituição do que as demais, 40 vezes mais propensas a terem um registro criminal e 500 vezes mais propensas ao suicídio.
